Korg has announced the details of a new 15th anniversary platinum-colour microKORG synthesizer/vocoder.

The stylish operating panel features a bright colour scheme unified by accents such as black wood panels at left and right, making it an exciting colour variation model new to the microKORG.

Korg has also revealed to MI Pro that the UK model of the limited edition synth will get a special treatment in the form of a “15” logo attached to the patch category knob. This is in keeping with the anniversary logo that has been present on korg.com this year.

The new model will have an SRP of £329 and a limited number of microKORG PT units will be sold.

The synth will be available summer 2017.

There is also an array of new tuners from Korg, including the GA-2  – a limited matt gray edition of the guitar/bass tuner, as well as a limited edition silver CA-2 chromatic tuner.

Both are available form July 2017. The GA-2 will have an SRP of £12, while the CA-2 with have a £13 price tag.

Korg also has numerous new clip-on tuners that can be attached directly to an instrument for easy tuning.

The new lineup now consists of the AW-LT100G specifically for guitar, and the AW-LT100B specifically for bass, as well as the AW-LT100M which supports a variety of orchestral instruments, the AW-LT100T which is optimised for trumpet and trombone, and the AW-LT100V which is designed specifically for violin and viola.

Prices range from £24 to £32 depending on the model and all will be available to buy as of July 2017.
